About me
I'm Jakob Andersson, a Scandinavian fine art photographer based in southern Sweden. My work is driven by a fascination with the quiet moments that often go unnoticed: the soft light before sunrise, the rhythm of the sea against the shoreline, and the stillness that settles over a landscape when time seems to slow. Through long exposures and minimalist compositions, I aim to capture not just how Scandinavia looks, but how it feels.
To many, Scandinavia represents a sense of calm, simplicity, and connection to nature. Living here allows me to explore these landscapes throughout the changing seasons, returning again and again in search of the light, weather, and atmosphere that make each place unique. Every image is created with patience, allowing nature to reveal itself rather than forcing the moment.
My hope is that these photographs offer more than a beautiful view. Whether displayed in a home, workspace, or gallery, I want them to create a sense of stillness and serve as a reminder to slow down, breathe deeply, and experience a small piece of the quiet side of Scandinavia, wherever you are.
